He did what??

7 goals!  Woo hoo Josef!  He is just thriving in this team.  The coach is foreign and Josef understands very little of what he says but the mans patience is incredible and he has put Josef on the field as a striker and as a Mum I just love watching him zip around, he quite literally dances with that ball!  Saturdays game was in Winton, so drizzle and mud made for a fun game.

He has a sore ankle today from a stray kick and is so tired!!  I need an expert on 11 year old boys – yesterday he went from a huge high in the morning to a teary, angry wreck in the afternoon – what is it hormones?  Does he need more sleep?  He sleeps well and gets over 10 hours a night.  He eats well and is usually a happy wee chap – but lately – big sigh – I want to turn back the clock and get my snuggly wee dude back and send this prickly wee pear packing :o (  Although in having said that last night he snuggled up beside me and we shared a bowl of popcorn while we watched Die Hard (number 1 – geez Brucie was young once!!)  Josef has also discovered Lynx spray – I choke in mornings between Jess and her Avon blossom spray and the Lynx – it pays to get into the bathroom before them!

More layouts to share – haven’t I been good? ;o)

And last but certainly not least – this house is  supporting the Dutch in the Euro 2008 competition and what a headline is this Deadly Dutch annihilate France (Jess is not impressed as she loves all things French lol)  so lots of happy dancing here and I’m sure in The Netherlands huh Karina??

It’s great to know ‘our guys’ have fans all around the world. Aren’t they amazing!!

We really can’t believe what is happining!! Holland, who first thought that we would never make it to the second round, is in a state of absolute happiness!!
We can’t think of anything else to talk about. Fridaynight the Netherlands turned completely orange because of all the dressed-up people watching the game in pubs, on screens that were installed in the streets, or televisions pulled outside the houses to watch it outside with neighbours and friends. We have the soccer-fever, and it is So Much Fun!

Josef, keep up the good work!! You could be the Arjen Robben of NZ!!!

    Love, Karina

Definitely hormones Julie – it does get better though and Aaron is 12 now. I did a post about this not so long ago either. Gotta laugh over the Lynx though as Aaron does that as well – it is sooo strong I can smell it all day when go near that end of the house.

Yay for Josef and soccer – he is doing well.

  4. Hee hee hee funny on the Lynx, better than not wanting to have a shower etc I guess. If you want a good book on teenagers to read, try Nigel Lattas new one, extremely funny but laced with very sensible sanity saving reasons on why they do what they do. I think it’s called, ‘Before your teenagers drive you crazy read this’.
